So, the blog enters the 2nd round of the Aniblog tournament with me up against Mistakes of Youth. The other card has Drastic My Anime Blog up against GAR GAR Stegosaurus so be sure to vote in both if you are of a mind to do so. ^_^
For this post, I hadn't planned on saying anything about the "drama" of the last round. I noticed that the header text for Aniblog's site says, "Your vote should be based on serious issues. Like the bloggers opinion on Tenchi Muyo," mocking the person who raised all kinds of grief about me last round. Since the drama started, I've had people ask me what this guy's beef is against me. Finally, Taco's Rule and Frank encouraged me to say something after receiving this post from Psycho, the cyber stalker who has obsessed over me for years and the person behind the Aniblog Tournament drama.
You may have gotten away with ballot stuffing last time, you fucking scam artist, but this time real fans will make sure your pathetic promo blog goes down in flames. Your fat cat paymasters can't buy you true popularity, you goddamned Judas. Real fans can detect the foul stench of your ASTROturfing no matter how hard you try to cover it up, you fucking imbecile. The truth can't be hidden with money and lies, you gluttonous fatass. Fuck you and that goddamned megaturd you worship.This rant is pretty typical except that he didn't mention "OVA 3," "Kajishima," or reference "Isekai no Seikishi Monogatari." Well, he has to change up his rants in minor ways since he's never sure if I read them or not (as if my reading his tripe will change anything). He makes sure to send rants daily, sometimes more frequently, all in some desperate attempt to get at me from the relative safety of anonymity.
So, I decided to address this issue publicly (and give Psycho his multiple orgasm with public acknowledgment) as a tale of caution to my fellow bloggers.
Psycho's rants against me started some six years ago (best reckoning) when Tenchi Muyo! Ryo-ohki OVA 3 came out. Back then, I wasn't the sole target, but various members of the Ayeka Fan Club, a Tenchi Muyo! fan site and forum, were targeted. The attacks were random and we all assumed this to be the work of some troll who may or may not even be a fan of Tenchi Muyo! Ryo-ohko. With OVA 3's completion, some fans went on to other things because they didn't like OVA 3. The rest of us who liked it, myself included, began finding other things to enjoy as the years passed as there wasn't much left that we wanted to say about our favorite anime, the canon Tenchi Muyo! series.
Soon after I started this blog, Psycho returned to start hammering me. Now, keep in mind that when I started this blog, OVA 3 had ended over a year before in Japan and had already been released in the U.S. to good sales according to FUNimation. In addition to the crime of liking OVA 3 despite its many problems, the thing that really seems to set off Psycho is that FUNimation came to me and made me a moderator of their forum (eventually promoting me to admin status). Since then, Psycho has spent over three years with nearly non-stop, daily, froth-filled ravings.
Here's were the "scary" stuff comes into play. It would be one thing if Psycho were just posting his insane diatribes. However, he made it clear to us that he was actively looking me up on the Internet and apparently spending a great deal of time doing so. Some of his rants would specifically reference something I said on some obscure blog, forum, news site, etc. and those remarks were sometimes months old. At times, he's registered himself as me on certain forums to attack me. At other times, he's managed to find wiki-sites where for some reason a wiki entry was made about me and then graffiti them with insults. If I don't notice this right away (because having a real life, I've got better things to do then spend my entire day on the Internet stalking myself), he'd make sure to try to point out his handiwork to me, including his work at Aniblog's site. He'll register on forums with user-ID's that are supposed to insult me such as "ANB_IS_A_FAGGOT" or the like because such things will clearly make me close down my blog and start over.
Finally, he's worked at trying to uncover personal information about the real me which I've not actively shared. More than anything else, it is this last bit that caused me to go agree to the insistence of friends and family and report this all to law enforcement and have a case file opened with IC3 after a talk with the FBI. All of the rants from the last three years that we've archived were turned over to them, complete with the exact time-date of the rant posting. Every day, we send the latest rant, including the one above. What they do about it remains to be seen.
While it is clear that Psycho has a screw loose, since normal people and even trolls don't go on ad nauseam for years attacking someone over an anime, a person that dedicated to their hatred of me is dedicated enough to find out where I live to try to silence me for good. Thus I warn my fellow bloggers to be VERY careful to not let your personal information out. Once it is out, it is pretty much out for life and a dedicated psycho like the one I have could find it and do who knows what with it.
Anyway, regarding the Aniblog tournament, Psycho left me a message of sorts when round one ended by stuffing the ballot in my favor. Since I'd made public mention that he would do this against me, Psycho wanted to tell me that he could have caused me to lose by a wide margin. After all, there are hundreds of proxies he can and does use to hide himself, and he can cast a vote for "truth" hundreds of times as a result (because an anime is the most important thing in the entire universe). However, to do so at the end of the tournament would likely have caused all his votes against me to be thrown out. Thus, he votes for me, then publicly says that I did it in fear of him. Whatever.
I guess it is too much to let things go naturally and see how far I might go. Whether I win or lose the tournament doesn't matter to me but it obviously does matter to Psycho. After all, the more evidence he sees of my blog's growth, the louder he barks.
So, for what it is worth, that's the story behind the drama. It is amazing that there are people like this out there, obsessing over a nobody like me for years, all because of an anime title. Well, there are murderers, rapist, robbers, child molesters, etc. who live and walk among us, pretending to be reasonable in public but in private, are raving psychos. So hopefully, people reading this post will be careful with what they do on their blogs, forums, etc. because you never know who could be reading what you write. ^_^;
